Uberliss recently offered an interactive online training session for select stylists – but not in a old-fashioned classroom.

Perhaps Google Hangouts on Google+ is the classroom of the future?

And in lieu of a textbook, note taking, or even working under someone as an apprentice – Google Glass might prove to be an ideal and effective educational tool for the next generation of colorists and stylists.

During the online class, attendees were able to view a live presentation of the Uberliss Smoothing System, at home – with another group at the Glam Studio by Ben in Chicago, IL, using Google Glass while watching the presentation. By offering the class through Google Hangouts, stylists from all over the country were able to see a free, live demo.

The instructor, stylist Kim Foster, commented:

“I was very excited to teach the Uberliss Smoothing Treatment via Google Glass. This method is a convenient way for the stylists and salon owners to see up close just like they were there in person, but in the comfort of their own home. While I am working on the model, someone else can also be educating the viewers with slides and answer any questions. Google Glass is a useful tool that makes it fun and convenient to learn how to use our product.”

Uberliss says it was a success and hopes to host more Google Glass Classes in the near future.
